One day, in His love, God touched our lives and transformed us by His Word. Hence, we want to share this precious gift and we have a special burden for Francophone Africa.
We are assigned to Central Africa, based in Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo. Simon works as Bible translation consultant, and Brenda as finance manager.
We have three sons, between 17 and 20 years-old. Since Summer 2010, we are back in Canada so they can finish high school and start college. Hence, we work remotely with our African colleagues.
Simon becomes a believer in 1984 simply by reading the Bible. Since then the
Word of God has a special place in his heart. Brenda works as a controller
(accounting) when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour in 1987. Shortly
after her conversion, her heart is burdened for missions. Simon and Brenda get
married in 1990 and as a couple start to serve the Lord, who trains them
through the years.
Simon studies the Bible and theology (M.Div., É.T.B.Q., 1990; M.A. Rel. Sc.,
McGill, 2003). For almost 11 years, he is the production director in a French-
language publishing house that specializes in Christian education material.
Brenda completes a biblical studies certificate (É.T.B.Q., 1990). She home-
schools their three sons, Jonathan, Joël and Nicolas. Simon and Brenda are
both very active in their local church, particularly in Sunday school teaching
(children and adults) and family ministry.
In 2005, Simon and Brenda are assigned to Central Africa, based in Brazzaville
in the Republic of Congo.
Simon works as Bible translation consultant, and Brenda as finance manager. Their vision is to train their national colleagues in French-speaking Africa, empowering them with the abilities to bring the Word of God to their own people, in the languages of theirs hearts.
Since June 2010, Simon and Brenda are back to Canada and continue their ministries remotely.
